Founder and Creative Director
Victoria founded Chalk Productions in 2020, with the aim of making factual and entertaining programmes with social purpose.
Victoria is an award winning Producer/Director, with 20 years' experience in the Broadcast industry at the BBC and ITV. She began working as a journalist, developing a love of current affairs and storytelling. She has worked around the world in Africa, Asia and America making films for the BBC.
Victoria oversees each and everyone of the commissions at Chalk Productions and is keen to promote new talent and under-represented voices.
Recent TV work includes: BBC1's primetime current affairs series Inside Out, BBC1's How the NHS Changed the world, BBC 2's Great Ormond Street-Too Great to Fail? and BBC 1's A Law Unto Themselves, BBC 2 My life as a Gypsy.
Director of Development
Andy has been producing and developing TV programmes for over 20 years, working successfully across a wide range of genres and formats for different broadcasters.
His Series Producing credits include BBC1's primetime current affairs series Inside Out, BBC4's Railways - The Making of a Nation and Canals - The Making of a Nation, and UKTV's Put Your Money Where Your House Is. As a versatile Producer/Director, he has made many documentaries (BBC4's A Very British History, BBC1's The Best Bottoms in the Land), and specialist factual programmes (BBC2's Britain Afloat, BBC4's Pubs, Ponds & Power), as well as popular factual (BBC1's Holiday) and daytime shows (BBC1's Sun, Sea & Bargain Spotting, Channel 4's A Place By The Sea, Channel 4's Who'll Age Worst?, BBC1's Trading Up, Channel 4's Collectors' Lot).
Senior Advisor
Dawn is an international development expert with over 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry (television and radio); This includes Managing Director, Commercial Director and Broadcast Development Director roles at local, national and international television channels. She is a published author, columnist and entrepreneur, launching one of the first interactive broadcast services, the first virtual trade platform and an interactive educational module. She advises government on international trade policy and is on the board of the creative industry trade board. Dawn is currently the managing director of global strategy at Pact, the UK’s trade association representing independent production companies in TV, film and animation.
Dawn advises Chalk on engaging and influencing stakeholders, international markets and developing commercialised projects in the UK and abroad.
Senior Advisor
Jules co-founded one of the UK’s largest independent production companies All3Media in 2003, and was COO of the group for 8 years and board director until 2014. In 2014 All3Media was sold to Liberty Media and Discovery.
Prior to founding All3Media, Jules was at Granada Plc (now part of ITV Plc) for 26 years, culminating in the positions of Managing Director, Group Operations and Managing Director, Group Production before that.
Jules is an industry expert not only in the TV production sector, but also in media deal structuring and financing, making him an invaluable adviser.
Senior Advisor
Elsje previously held senior commercial finance and business development roles at BBC East. She began working in television 25 years ago at BBC Radio Norfolk and worked her way up through the ranks to Finance and then Business Manager across the East.
Elsje has worked across numerous different genres across in television and Radio. Her extensive experience in business and operational matters including TV Production finance makes her a key advisor on the financial strategy of the company.
Senior Advisor
Tamsin co-founded ITCH in 2002, an award winning experential agency that built audiences through engaging content and live events for well known consumer brands
Tamsin was responsible for the operations side of the business including all company finance, procurement, HR and the on going management & direction of the agency. She remained at the helm until 2015.
Tamsin advises Chalk on marketing, client engagement and recruitment.
Senior Advisor
Leila is a child and youth rights professional with over 14 years’ experience of innovative programme development, multi-country and multi-sectoral programme management.
Leila is accomplished at leading strategy development processes, capacity building and managing teams. Leila plays an important role in advising Chalk on its commitment to good management practices and making programmes that engage diverse and under-represented groups both on and off screen.
Camera Operator
Vic is a highly experienced Camera Operator with 30 years in the business.
He's worked on many BBC programmes including Panorama, Inside Out, The One Show, Politics Show, London News and many one hour specials. He's also worked for Ch4 News and Sky TV on children’s programmes .
Drone Operator
Sam is a highly creative and skilled drone operator with a fleet of drones.
He also uses bespoke cinematic FPV drones capable of capturing this hugely immersive dynamic style of aerial footage
Lighting Director
Experienced Lighting Designer with a demonstrated history of working in film and the performing arts industry. Skilled in all areas of lighting and a real asset to any shoot.
